Every year we, Leeuwarden Student City, proudly organize LEIP: the introduction period for all new students in Leeuwarden, from mbo to PhD students. What we organized years before the introduction week of Leeuwarden's educational institutions, we now do ín the introduction week of the educational institutions. 

The LEIP! Market on August 25, the sports and game days from August 26-28 and the sing-a-long on August 28 are all on the program of the different educational institutions of Leeuwarden. We also provide goodie bags with information about all kinds of useful businesses in Leeuwarden to almost every Leeuwarden first-year student. Through this change and great cooperation, we are able to reach a few thousand students and offer them a warm welcome to our beautiful city!

Unchanged is the LEIP! Festival, which is scheduled for September 11: a party for and by students. A celebration of student time and the conclusion of the introductory period.

LEIP! shows that Leeuwarden is more than a place where you happen to study. It is a city you consciously choose as a student because it feels good. Because you can feel at home there. Because it is a place where memories are made that you carry with you for the rest of your life. Starting August 24, we will use a playful welcome campaign to welcome the students and show the residents that the (new) students are back! The streets are becoming livelier, the atmosphere is changing - Leeuwarden is buzzing again. And everyone should notice that.
